Quenched 1.3.3 is built for iPhone Duo. When Apple's first foldable iPhone goes on sale on October 23, Quenched will be ready for it from day one, on both of its screens: the 5.4-inch outer display when it's closed, and the 7.6-inch inner display when you open it up.
Closed, it's the quick, one-tap tracker you already know. Open, your water, your Hydration Consistency score and the day's drinks spread out across the biggest screen an iPhone has ever had. Here's what that looks like, and the handful of decisions behind it.
Folded: the Quenched you already know
On the outer display we changed almost nothing, on purpose. It's a phone-sized screen held in one hand, and the single column that works on every other iPhone works here too.
What iPhone Duo changes is where the controls live. In iOS 27.1 the tab bar and toolbar move into a slim bar down the side of the screen, so content gets the full height. Quenched puts two buttons in that bar. At the bottom is +, which opens Add Water from any tab, so logging a custom amount is always one tap away. At the top of Today is the camera for logging a drink from a photo, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. Your tabs sit in between.
Open: what goes where
Open the phone in landscape and you get a screen that's wider than it is tall. The easy move would be to stretch the phone layout across it, which gives you a ring the size of a dinner plate and rows of text that run from edge to edge. So every tab now splits into two columns, and we chose for each tab what sits side by side:
- Today: the things you tap on the left, your ring and quick adds; the things you read on the right, Hydration Consistency, Today so far and the rest of your cards.
- Water Log: the month's calendar on the left, the day you tap on the right. Jumping between days no longer means scrolling back up.
- Trends: your charts, split across both columns in the order you set under Settings → Layout. The first half goes on the left and the rest on the right.
- Settings: the list stays on the left and each setting opens beside it. Until you pick one, the right side shows a quiet drop and the version number.
Each column scrolls on its own, so you can keep the calendar where it is while you look through a long day of drinks. The tab's title sits atop the left column, and the right column starts level with what's under it, so the title still reads as spanning the screen. And the water behind Today still fills the whole display.
Turned sideways
Rotate the open phone a quarter turn and the inner display becomes one tall screen. Two columns would make no sense there, so Quenched goes back to the single column, with the tab bar along the bottom and the camera and + at the top, just as on a big iPhone.
What didn't change
Everything else. Your drinks, goal, reminders, Apple Health sync, widgets and Apple Watch app all work on iPhone Duo just as on any iPhone. If iCloud sync is on, your history arrives on the new phone as soon as you sign in with the same Apple Account and install Quenched.
Get it
iPhone Duo support arrives in Quenched 1.3.3 on the App Store. Pre-orders for iPhone Duo open October 16, and it goes on sale October 23. When yours shows up, open Quenched, then open the phone.
