How does Quenched calculate my daily goal?

Quenched estimates a goal from the details you provide — such as your weight, profile, activity level, and climate. It's a smart starting point, not medical advice. You can override it any time and set a custom goal that fits how you feel.

How do I log water quickly, or add a custom amount?

Tap one of your quick-add buttons on the Today screen to log a preset amount instantly. For anything in between, open the custom dial to pick an exact amount — from a small sip up to a large bottle. You can customize your preset amounts in Settings.

Does Quenched sync with Apple Health or Health Connect?

Yes, on both platforms. On iPhone, Quenched can read your existing water data from Apple Health and write the water you log back to Health, keeping everything in sync. You can grant or revoke access any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

On Android it does the same through Health Connect. Turn Health sync on in Quenched's settings, then grant the hydration and caffeine permissions on Health Connect's own permission screen. You can revoke them any time in Settings → Security & privacy → Health Connect, and Quenched keeps working without them.

On either platform, your health data is read and written entirely on your device — it never reaches us.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Yes. Quenched includes a full Apple Watch app so you can log water and check your progress ring right from your wrist. The quick-add amounts you set on your iPhone appear a scroll below the ring, and your entries sync with your iPhone through your private iCloud account.

There's no Wear OS app yet — on Android, Quenched runs on your phone, with home screen widgets for quick logging.

Can I add widgets?

Yes, on both platforms. Quenched offers home screen widgets — including progress, amount, and chart styles — plus complications on Apple Watch, so your hydration and a quick-add button are always a glance away. Add them from the iOS Home Screen widget gallery, your Watch face settings, or your Android launcher's widget picker.

Can I log a drink from a photo?

Yes, on iOS 27 with an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence. Tap the camera button on the Today screen and point it at your glass, bottle, or cup. Quenched uses Apple's on-device models to name the drink and estimate how much the container holds, then opens the Add sheet with that amount filled in so you can adjust it before saving. Nothing is logged automatically, and the photo never leaves your phone.

On devices without Apple Intelligence the camera button is hidden. Identifying water is free; picking another drink from the photo is part of Quenched Pro, as it is elsewhere in the app.

Does Quenched work with Siri and Shortcuts?

Yes. Say "log water in Quenched", "log a drink in Quenched", or "check my hydration in Quenched". Siri asks for anything it needs — the amount, or which drink — and logs it straight to your day. The same three actions appear in the Shortcuts app, so you can put them on an Action button, a Back Tap, or in an automation.

Logging a drink other than water is a Pro feature, the same as in the app.

Can I see my water on the Lock Screen?

Yes. Turn on the Live Activity under Settings → Lock Screen. Today's total and goal then stay on your Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, in StandBy while your phone charges, and in the Apple Watch Smart Stack, with your quick-add amounts as buttons you can tap without unlocking. Lock Screen widgets are still available too.

How do reminders work?

Turn on reminders in Settings and choose the days and the hours you'd like to be nudged. Quenched schedules pace-aware notifications within that window to help you keep up without being overwhelming. Reminders are generated on your device.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Your hydration log is stored on your device. On iPhone and Apple Watch it also syncs through your own private iCloud account if you enable it; the Android app has no cloud sync at all, so its data stays on your phone. Either way there's no Quenched account, and we can't read your log. The app does send anonymous product analytics tied to a random ID so we can see which features get used, and we never sell your data or use it to identify you. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

How do I switch between ounces and milliliters?

Open Settings and choose your preferred unit. Quenched will display and log all amounts in ounces (oz) or milliliters (mL) accordingly — existing entries are converted for display automatically.

What does Quenched Pro include?

Quenched Pro unlocks hydration trends and streaks, caffeine tracking, all 30 beverage types plus custom drinks, and custom quick-add sizes. It's $5.99 a year with a free trial, or $9.99 once for lifetime. Everything else — water logging, your smart goal, reminders, widgets, the Apple Watch app, and health sync — is free on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Android. If you have questions about a purchase or restoring it, email us and we'll help.
